LUFTHANSA TECHNIK EXPLORER CONCEPT

News — 10.02.22

The whole point of flying private is to travel to your chosen destination as quickly and efficiently as possible and more importantly, escape the airport even quicker.

Lufthansa Technik’s ‘Explorer’ design concept changes the logic behind long-haul travel, making the flight and the destination is equally important.

Inspired by the new breed of Explorer-style superyachts, the ACJ330-based concept has ‘stay on board’ capabilities allowing guests to travel to wherever they want around the globe and then give them the option to simply enjoy the aircraft and relax.

Back to normality: It was finally business as usual as the aviation industry headed to DWC for the Dubai Air Show 2021. Watching elite pilots take to the sky in the flying display was also much needed.

Imagine taxiing to a stop at an exotic location and instead of rushing to get to the hotel, you open up the main cargo deck’s viewing platform and relax with a drink, four metres above the tarmac. It’s a new way of thinking and a concept that can be transferred to other widebody aircraft like the Airbus A350, or Boeing’s 787 and 777.
