Ultima Crans-Montana chalets
Two sumptuous chalets in the Swiss Alps will be inaugurated in December, offering absolute intimacy at the peak of luxury.
The choice of accommodation in the Swiss Alps will become even greater with the launch of two new luxury chalets. The two properties are located at the altitudes of Plateau de Plan-Mayens, in the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana. Sitting above the Rhône valley, in the French-speaking Valais region, the resort is famous for hosting ski competitions in winter and golf tournaments in summer. Thanks to an exceptionally sunny climate, the steep slopes rising from the large river valley are organised in narrow terraces covered with vineyards, which produce a grand variety of fine wines.
Founded by Byron Baciocchi and Max-Hervé George, Ultima Collection opened its first hotel and residences in 2016 in Gstaad, Switzerland. Composed exclusively of suites and residences, Ultima Gstaad managed within two years to make a name for itself into a highly competitive niche market with several prices and awards.
In 2018, the brand officially launched its collection of residences, hotels and villas with the announcement of the opening of its privatized chalet concept in Crans-Montana. More new concepts and properties are in the pipeline and will be announced in the coming years.
Traditional architecture with modern touches
Providing all the services of a 5-star hotel, the compound spreading over 4500sqm, is composed of two completely independent chalets. Both benefit from the set of Ultima range services. There is a concierge dedicated to the chalet, a monumental spa covering 1000sqm, an in-house chef, and last but not least a high-tech home cinema. With a total area of 3850sqm, the first chalet consists of 11 bedrooms, including two children dormitories, which can host up to eight kids.
The chalet provides all of the much-needed interior activities, including a billiard room, a yoga studio, and a fully equipped fitness room with direct access to the Ultima Spa & Clinic.
The second chalet is more intimate. Still, it offers all of the same creature-comfort as the Ultima chalets with its 6 bedrooms, direct access to the spa, and a completely open kitchen fashioning a very friendly and cosy atmosphere to host friends and family.
Ultima Crans-Montana will adopt the unique signature of the brand, eponymous with an instant recognisable ambiance. The finest materials have been selected in order to create a warm, cosy and ultra-luxurious atmosphere. Wood mixing harmoniously with leather, nubuck and other prestigious materials, all contribute to creating decorative elements.
Guest rooms have been treated to fully blend with the environment, respecting similar interior decoration key codes, yet each remains slightly different. All elements have been integrated to convey the feeling of being at home, in complete comfort. Luxury is ever present. There are majestic bronze-covered chimneys and leather-padded bed heads. The marble-clad bathrooms are fitted with the cosiest bath towels. During their stay, guests will have access to limitless services.
Inspired by superyacht interiors, and decorated with Ultima Collection signature elements such as lavish teak, a Baccarat crystal chandelier, Kelsey Grey and Bahia Blanca marbles, the décor is a nod to the yachting world.
A traditional hammam, a sauna, as well as a suite of lounge beds complete this space dedicated to relaxation. Ultima proposes on-demand clinical services with the same standards of luxury.
During their stay, guests will be able to enjoy special detox treatments and re-boost thanks to personalised vitamin revitalisation cures.
