It’s showtime for MEBAA
Middle East Business Aviation Association
The Middle East Business Aviation Association will host MEBAA 2018 at the Dubai Airshow site, Dubai World Central from 10th-12th December. The show hopes to be bigger and better this year, with 500 exhibitors and 9,900 attendees expected across the three days. There is a more international feel to the event, as around 70 per cent of the exhibitors will have travelled from outside the region to be part of the largest business aviation show in the Middle East.
The Middle East of course still represents the largest number of MEBAA Show exhibitors with companies such as Saudi Private Aviation from Saudi Arabia and Cedar Jet Centre from Lebanon, along with those from the UAE. In fact, this year’s MEBAA Show boasts a new platinum sponsor; UAE based Online Global Trip Support, who will be using the show as a platform to launch itself in the region and beyond.
“We have created something new and unique for the business aviation industry,” said Munir Khalifeh, CEO Online Global Trip Support. Khalifeh continued: “We addressed the challenges facing Flight Operators today and created OGTS to provide them with a complete, one-stop online aviation service solution for any trip. The MEBAA Show is the perfect place to meet the key players in the business aviation market in the region and beyond, allowing access to the industry and potential for networking that simply cannot be found anywhere else in the Middle East.”
Returning to the show again from China will be Haeco Private Jet Solutions, while those travelling from Europe make up almost another third of the total and include Dassault from France, Sky Services from Italy and Comlux Aviation from the UK.
The entire business aviation industry supply chain is represented at the MEBAA Show, from OEMS to maintenance providers such as Jet Aviation, fuel providers like AvFuel, airports such as London Biggin Hill, catering providers such as Executive Gourmet and FBOs such as Execujet.
The static display, which is predicted to feature up to 50 of the latest business aircraft, remains a highlight of the show for exhibitors and visitors alike. Already committed to the static display are aircraft from Gulfstream, Bombardier and Hondajet.

This year the show has some new features, including the MEBAA Conference on the show floor. The MEBAA conference will address current important issues facing business aviation in the region, to ensure the business aviation community remains at the forefront of this ever-changing industry.
Split into four distinct sessions across two days, the MEBAA Conference Dubai will include both a UAE Market Focus and in depth analysis of the Global business aviation market. Panel discussions and presentations will focus on topics such as what is being done to drive business aviation forward; analysing the latest trends and regulations in the market and identifying how best to take advantage as well as business aviation insurance and how it is changing, including protection against new potential threats.
“We addressed the challenges facing Flight Operators today and created OGTS to provide them with a complete, one-stop online aviation service solution for any trip.”
The blockchain in business aviation session will look at the basics of blockchain and how it is being used in other industries while analysing what benefits can it offer aviation and investigating application practicalities. Other topics will include cyber security, aviation finance and innovation, among others.
Also launching this year at the MEBAA Show will be the aircraft operators Executive Club Lounge, an exclusive area dedicated to meetings and networking specifically for those in the sector. Alnaqbi continues, “Aircraft Operators are of course an important cornerstone of the business aviation industry. The addition of a distinct lounge will increase the opportunities for them to host face-to-face meetings, which is well known as the preferred way to do business in the Middle East.”

MEBAA Show 2018 will also feature, for the first time, a product demonstration theatre on the show floor, providing a space for exhibitors to promote their products and services to visitors; while the Jetsetter Welcome Reception, scheduled for the late afternoon of the first day, will provide a platform for exhibitors to network and raise their company profile among all attendees to the show.
