Jet Aviation opened its third hangar in Singapore, a 3,850-square-metre space, with a event during the Singapore Airshow.

The new hangar provides much needed additional space to the 5,000-square-metre maintenance facility in the second hangar, opened in 2014.

Hangar two can accommodate up to five Gulfstream G650s or five Bombardier Global Express 7000 aircraft, while hangar three offers additional capacity for two Boeing Business Jets or Airbus Corporate Jets, or five Gulfstream G550 aircraft.

The new hangar features a larger, upgraded Interior Shop, including a 300-square-metre extension for drying rooms, a new soft goods area and Wood Shop, and also adds 315 square metres of storage space.

“Jet Aviation is fully committed to meeting the needs of our customers as close to demand as possible,” said John Riggir, General Manager of the MRO and FBO facility in Singapore and Vice President of Operations in Asia. ”Whether that means investing in infrastructure or the latest technologies, we remain focused on meeting their requirements to the highest quality and safety standards — which this new hangar clearly demonstrates.”

Jet Aviation was named Best MRO (Singapore / Hong Kong) at the Asian Business Aviation Association’s Icons of Aviation Asia Awards in November 2017. A month later, it was designated a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) Authorised Warranty Repair Facility and BBJ Factory Authorised Service Centre.
